I am a gardener based in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The synergy of my character sees inspector gadget marrying an expressive arts teacher that was a wanna-be defense against the dark arts professor. The momentum informing my work are 7 years of movement facilitation and 9 years of landscaping.
Topographically, my office is in between a power lifting gym and a tai chi center. This middle ground encapsulates my definition of subtle strength. Feeling a sense of place is the foundation of land and body stewardship. I am presenting a homegrown invitation to fitness. My methodologies are intergenerational, based in body mechanics, and inspired by the shapes demanded of a full-time manual labor worker.
The journeys that ignite my cadence are hiking through Virginia on the Appalachian Trail and El Camino del Norte in Spain. The lands that guide my feet and hands are located in Gloucester, Blacksburg, and Charlottesville, Virginia. The native land I acknowledge belong to to Werowocomoco and Monacan territories.
